Personal transformation

Transformed individuals who transform their communities.

Honduran youth face many challenges to belonging.

  • Lack of opportunities
  • Rampant corruption
  • Political instability
  • Gang violence
  • Family instability

What happens when youth don’t feel like they belong?

  • Chronic school absenteeism
  • Teen pregnancy
  • Gang membership
  • High rates of emigration

HTH is investing in the next generation of Honduran leaders.

We provide opportunities for Honduran youth to find a future hope through the work of Soccer with Values and the Campamento Extremo Internacional.

Soccer With Values

Using soccer as a catalyst, HTH believes youth can rediscover their identities and hope for the future in Christ.

We begin by coming alongside local coaches and mentors who love their communities. By empowering these individuals, HTH is investing in a long-term solution from within the community that can continue to combat these serious issues.

With the help of qualified coaches, HTH believes that a sport-based program can create spaces for  healthy social and spiritual development of Honduran youth. This also provides a relational platform to address many of the underlying challenges to belonging.

Campamento Extremo
Internacional

For 16 years, HTH has operated one of Central America’s leading youth camps.

Over the past decade, thousands of Honduras youth have joined us at camp. Hundreds have reported life-changing experiences as a result.

With top-notch facilities and an experienced, dedicated staff, CEI offers one-of-a-kind opportunities for at-risk local youth to face their struggles, find their capacity to overcome them, and know their true identities as sons and daughters of God.

Impact Goals

Heart to Honduras aims to meet these Impact Goals in holistic transformation through our youth programming.

People who recognize their true identity in Christ
People who experience a greater sense of belonging within their community
