Barriers to belonging
Honduran families and youth face a wide variety of obstacles to flourishing. Increasingly, the men, women, and children of these villages see emigrating as their only option for a future hope. In 2021, approximately 200 Hondurans left their homes and communities every day, leaving family and risking their lives in search of opportunities to thrive.
We stay where we belong
Now more than ever, Heart to Honduras is committed to empower individuals to thrive in their communities. Surrounded by transience, they put down deep roots. In moments of instability, they link arms to move forward. With growing opportunities, they celebrate their potential. Instead of looking outward, they become strengthened from within. With a sense of identity and purpose, EACH ONE BELONGS.
It is our privilege to support, to guide, and to cheer our Honduran brothers and sisters on in this process. In our relationships and partnerships, we find our collective sense of purpose and belonging as we join our God in His work.
