Ceramic Tile for the Church
Date Submitted: October 2018
Solicitor: Pastor Daniel Orellaga
Location: El Ocote, Zacapa, Santa Barbara
We need this ceramic project because our current unfinished floors create a lot of dust which damages our musical instruments. It is difficult for the brothers and sisters that care for the church to haul water to keep the dust own. We wish to improve our house of worship.
Supervisor’s Note: Ceramic floors are something for which the members of the congregation can take pride, and also help significantly with church maintenance since they can be easily mopped. Rustic floors trap a significant amount of dirt, which becomes dust once it dries. The wet, muddy town context exacerbates this issue.
The members of the church; approximately 70 people.
- The local municipal government will provide ($130) in sand.
- The local church will provide ($425) in cement, masonry, and assistants.
- ($2,185) in ceramic, cement, and taxes are requested from an outside donor.
TOTAL AMOUNT requested from outside donor $2,185.
