Responding to Hurricanes Eta and Iota+ TOGETHER

November 18, 2020-

Over the past 24 hours, Honduras and neighboring Central American countries were hit with a second hurricane, Iota, just as they had begun recovery efforts for the first, Eta. Iota emerged as stronger and more destructive than Eta.

Early reports indicate that the worst is over and the loss of life was minimal. The Honduran people were better prepared. But still many families were forced to evacuate their homes due to flooding. Their displacement may be temporary or long term until suitable housing can be restored. Heart to Honduras continues providing mattresses, water, vehicles and food as needed in our immediate relief efforts. The BIGGER challenge will be in the months and years ahead as we walk alongside these resilient people in the rebuilding of their country.

More than ever we need partners like you who will

  •           give in support of their efforts,
  •           communicate that they are not alone,
  •           lift their spirits in what has been a long season of struggle.

To specifically support relief and recovery, donate here.

To make our ongoing work possible, donate here.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

But may your name be blessed and built up!  For you have answered my passionate cry for mercy.  You are my strength and my shield from every danger.  When I fully trust in you, help is on the way... You will be the inner strength of all your people, the mighty protector of all, the saving strength for all your anointed ones...Like a shepherd going before us, keep leading us forward, forever carrying us in your arms!  Psalm 28:6-9, The Passion Translation
