Matt Garrett, International Extreme Camp Project
Leader / Video Coordinator

Matt and his family (wife Kim  & three daughters - Noli, Holly & Cami)
moved to Ohio to begin work with Heart to Honduras in the summer
of 2008. His previous experiences traveling with Heart to Honduras
and seeing how God was working in Honduras and the staff of HTH
were the main factors in Matt’s decision to come on staff. God used these events as well as Matt and Kim's
church in Chicago to show them that working with HTH was an important part of His plan.

As IEC Project Leader, Matt develops and oversees the North American Family Mission Camps as well as
the North American Youth/Student Camps in Honduras.  He also produces Heart to Honduras’ stateside
ministry videos, oversees and coordinates shipments going to Honduras and leads several teams each
year.

Matt and Kim met while attending Anderson University, where Matt earned his degree in Education and
Kim earned her degree in the Nursing program in which Cindy Penhorwood taught.  Matt went on to work
as a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director for 11 years in Colorado, Illinois & Indiana.
All three of Matt and Kim's children were born during the ten years they lived in Kim's hometown of South
Holland, a suburb on the south side of Chicago. Each girl is named after a flower/plant and a fruit of the
spirit - Magnolia (Noli) Joy, Holly Love and Camillia (Cami) Faith.  All three girls are enjoying living closer to
the Ohio side of their family.
