PROJECT JUSTIFICATION: WHY DO YOU NEED THE PROJECT?
For the health of the families that lives in these homes. These adobe homes are currently in poor condition to host a healthy family.
Supervisor’s Note:
These houses are structurally
sound but the walls are made of adobe brick (mix of compacted soil,
sand, and cement) that if left exposed can house Triatomine bugs also
known as “assassin” or “kissing” bugs know to cause a serious illness
called Chagas disease. See the Center for Disease Control website to

General Objective: What do you hope to achieve with the project?
To avoid the sicknesses produced by Triatomine bugs (La Chinche Picuda) or other insects.
Direct Beneficiaries: Who and how many will continually benefit from this project?
10 families.
Collaboration:

The beneficiary will provide all of the sand from the local river, 3 bags of cement per house, and all of the assistant’s labor ($2550).

The local government will provide 6 bags of cement per house ($490).

The rest of the cement (311 bags) and payment for the mason’s labor are needed from an outside donor ($7400).
