Project Justification: Why do you need the project?

We are a family with very low income and do not currently have the financial resources necessary to improve our living conditions.

Supervisor’s Note:  Joaquina lost her husband to an alcoholism-related suicide 10 years ago. Since that time, she has provided for her children by hand-washing clothes and working as a cook in local homes.

General Objective: What do you hope to achieve with the project?

I am hoping to provide a safe, healthy and secure for my family.

Beneficiaries:  Who and how many will continually benefit from this project?

Joaquina Ventura (56), her two children, Estela (high-school student, 16), and Maria (single mother of one child, 35 - lives at home).


  1. The local mayor is will provide concrete blocks and sand ($250).
  2. The beneficiary will provide stone, assistant labor, and payment of a mason ($260).
  3. The local church will provide 2 bags of cement and assistant labor ($35).
  4. Remaining materials and payment of a carpenter are requested from an outside donor.
