La Victoria, El Tigre, Agua Amarilla, Las Flores, San Isidro
and Los Globos. Where several villages once suffered
water shortages because their supplies only work every
other day, households now have sanitary washing and
bathroom facilities and a way to store clean water for use
on days when the village supply is limited.
Heart to Honduras also constructed four new houses, two for widows and two for pastors.
Through these projects, Heart to Honduras is helping to elevate the standard of living for the people among
whom we work. They are proud of their new improvements. We thank God for those who have given to touch
the lives of Honduran villagers in this significant way. To find out how you can help with a village home

Home Improvement
Several years ago Heart to Honduras initiated a Home
Improvement Project that has impacted rural villages in
Honduras significantly. Beginning with Canchias, funding was
made available to village families through shared no-interest
loans so that they could add outdoor toilets, showers, pilas
(washing facilities for clothes and dishes), concrete floors,
stuccoed walls and new roofs to their homes.
A few years later Heart to Honduras began a similar program in
nearby Las Delicias. With help from Mountain Park Community
Church in Phoenix, Arizona, some 30 homes in Las Delicias
have received new toilet, shower and pila facilities.
Improvements have been made on other parts of their dwellings
as well.
Nearby Las Globos became the third community to benefit from
this life-changing project. At least fifteen pilas were built there.
