Mission
Food for the Hungry (and water for the thirsty)
Food Programs
One annual crop of corn and beans provides the staple food for most
rural Honduran families. Fruit is seasonal. Vegetables are rare. As a
result, many suffer from inadequate nutrition. Heart to Honduras is
helping meet nutritional needs by providing land to farmers who have
none, supplying silos in which families can store produce safe from bugs
and rodents, and operating experimental farms where new crops and
horticultural methods are being explored to improve food production and
nutrition.
