Project Justification: Why do you need the project?

We as a church do not have Sunday school classrooms for the 35 children that regularly attend our church.

General Objective: What do you hope to achieve with the project?

We would like to have a secure and comfortable location to educate our children about the Bible. Also this space can host leadership meetings, other community group meetings, medical brigades, and other visitors.

Supervisor’s Note: The classrooms structure will consist of two classrooms with a combined square footage of 680 sq ft (17ft x 40ft). The building will be built on the grounds of the current church, which is right next to the community school on the main road near the entrance of the community. The local Open Arms church of Lomas del Aguila is the largest church in this small rural town, with a congregation of nearly 100 adult members.  They currently only have the one, large single-roomed building which serves as a sanctuary and meeting hall. This room will serve as classrooms for all auxiliary needs.

Beneficiaries:  Who and how many will continually benefit from this project?

35 children in addition to the 120 family members that these children have.

Collaboration:

  1. The local church will provide all necessary labor including mason and welder in addition to all wood needed for concrete formwork ($1690).
  2. Cement, concrete blocks, rebar, and other building materials are requested from an outside donor.

Total amount requested from an HTH Collaborator: $ 4660
