Dear Prayer Partners,

Welcome to the new format for our Prayer Emails! I hope you will find it an even better tool for guiding your prayers for the ministry of Heart to Honduras.

Today we have GREAT NEWS! The kidnappers released German's friend Ricardo yesterday! (His family paid the ransom.) German said several churches were fasting and praying, and they are giving God praise for Ricardo's safe return.

Join me now in praising God for this blessing and praying for current ministry needs.

Let's Pray

Father, it is with joy and thanksgiving that we lift our hearts to You today, praising You for the safe release of Ricardo! We thank You for honoring the earnest prayers of many people, including Ricardo's friend German.

We continue to pray for those who are grieving the tragic deaths of loved ones in La Colonia and Tegucigalpa last week. Strengthen them with Your comforting presence. You are our hiding place.

We pray today for:

• blessings upon German (Honduras ministry leader) and Pastor Alfredo (leader of our Brazos Abiertos churches) as they travel to the U.S. and minister in Casper, Wyoming this weekend.
• guidance and wisdom for President Gordon and Team Trip Coordinator Steve as they travel to Honduras next week to work with our Honduran staff and pastors on overall ministry coordination
• Kingdom impact by and for the team from Kansas traveling to Honduras next week. Give them health and safety, but most importantly, let them hear from You and let their love flow to the people for whom they are building homes.
• the return to health for Jose Reyes, interim director in Honduras, and his family who have been seriously ill with a virus this week
• the healing of the mother in law of Luis Lopez (one of our construction leaders in Honduras) as she recovers from surgery for a brain tumor.
• healing for Board Chairman Jerry Grubbs as he recovers from shoulder repair surgery.
• Mario (agriculture leader in Honduras) and Lorena (receptionist in the Canchias clinic) as they care for their new daughter, Gloria Stefanía, born last week with Down's syndrome. May this child grow up to bless all around her!
