Heart to Honduras is dedicated to providing a quality Short Term Mission trip experience. Since the ministry started over 20 years ago, we have been leading teams to Central America. Many of the teams that travel with us come back year after year. Within these trips, God has transformed lives both in Central America and in the Teams themselves. Countless North American’s have heard from God in a new and exciting way as they have opened themselves to His leading on these trips.
The Short Term Mission trips led by Heart to Honduras do a variety of work and ministry while there. Each team can build its Mission trip around its own unique gifts and abilities. Some of the teams we lead each year are; Medical and Dental teams, Construction teams, Vacation Bible School teams, Prayer teams, Education teams, Sister Church teams, Youth and Family Camp teams, Micro-Business teams as well as teams exploring the ministry. Many churches traveling with us do more than one area of ministry on their trip. No matter what ones abilities are there can be a place for you. Even if you cannot form a team on your own, we can help you join an existing team.
More information can be found in the Get Involved section under Travel to Honduras, you can also email Heart to Honduras’ Ministry Team Coordinator Steve DeLisle or call him at (937) 408-0027.
Below is one example of a group that participated in construction, medical, and exploring new engineering solutions:

What religious denomination is Heart to Honduras Ministry? I have a small group that has done short term missions for several years (in Siguatepeque, Honduas). We are all Episcopaleans.

The ministry of Heart to Honduras is Non-Denominational. We have groups from many different denominations that travel with us to participate in Short-Term trips and that support the ministry through finances and prayers, Episcopalians being one of the groups.
You may have seen this already, but below is a link to our Statement of Faith, it should help clarify our position:

If you have more questions we would be more than happy to answer them! Thank you for your interest in Heart to Honduras.

My son who is type 1 diabetic would like to do a short term mission trip. We are a little concerned about his health and safety. Do you usually have some medical personel or a doctor that accompanies you on these trips?
We have a Heart to Honduras run clinic in the same village that most groups stay in, however most groups do not have medical personnel with them. Please feel free to call the Heart to Honduras office and ask to speak to our medical director. (937) 372-3503
