Heart to Honduras has continued to grow from Charlie Smith’s original vision. For 20+ years we’ve tried to follow God’s leading as we serve the poor in Honduras.
Five main commitments have framed our ministry:
FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY, CLOTHING FOR THE NAKED, HOUSING FOR THE HOMELESS, HEALING FOR THE HURTING, HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS
These five calls to service come from the parable Jesus tells in Matthew 25 of the sheep and the goats. They also reflect Charlie’s core values as he tried to design a ministry that would truly impact the people of Honduras – not just physically but also spiritually. Everything that Heart to Honduras undertakes falls into at least one of these five categories.
