Director, Corazon Para Honduras
Pastor Walter Bermudez and his wife, Patty, have been serving the Lord 15 years in ministry with their people. He was inspired to begin preaching by listening to Jorge Raschke, a well-known Puerto Rican evangelist. Pastor Walter started his ministry as president of a Youth Ministry organization in Honduras. Patty began serving as a Sunday school teacher. Ministry to children/youth continues to be a high priority for both of them.
Pastor Walter currently leads the church Centro Cristiano La Roca [“The Rock” Christian Center], which began in 2008 and has grown to 400 members. His passion is to teach the prophetic Word of God and his focus is on restoring the family. Patty loves children, and that is her ministry at their church and in the community.
Pastor Walter’s role model is Jesus, and he believes that following Jesus’ model for ministry is fundamental. His favorite book is Why Revival Tarries, by Leonard Ravenhill. Those who know Walter well are familiar with a favorite conversation of his: “To the question: ‘Where is the God of Elijah?’ We answer: ‘Well, He is where He has always been…on His throne!!’ But where are the Elijahs of God?” Good question to ponder.
Pastor Walter and his wife, Patty, have 3 children.
