German Pinell, General Administrator

German is the General Administrator of CPH offices.  Much of his time is spent overseeing all of the logistics for hosting a North American team on visits to Brazos Abiertos churches.  In addition to making sure there is food, water, beds and transportation, he also works closely with Steve DeLisle planning needed projects, including interviewing and making site visits to those who ask for a Ministry Home.

German (pronounced “Herman”) first came in contact with Corazón Para Honduras near San Pedro Sula during Dr. Nelson’s medical team mission when German was in the 5th grade. Two years later, after German’s family had broken up, he was working in a gas station in Las Flores when then-director Miguel Pinell, and Dr. Nelson & his wife Janie stopped to get gas. Janie had been praying that she could see the boy from two years previous – and there he was, miles from their original meeting place!  Eventually, Miguel and his wife Nilsa formally adopted German.  In gratitude for being rescued from the streets, German has now adopted a child who always threw rocks at German’s vehicle as it passed through his village.  Erick has blossomed into a loving, outgoing child under German’s care.
