Don Alberto – Chef
Chef Alberto has been the chief cook in Canchias since 2006, coming there from Tegucigalpa where he had worked in a hotel restaurant. Chef prepares the food (with the help of the School of Discipleship students and also a paid assistant) for all of the North American visitors, for the Brazos Abiertos weekend retreats, and for the SOD students and staff. When he gets a weekend off he loves going back to Tegucigalpa, not only to visit his wife and grown children, but to worship in his home church pastored by Alfredo Reconco.
